A SMART Team Projet from Brown Deer High School

SMART Teams (Students Modeling a Research Topic) is a student outreach program run by the MSOE Center for BioMolecular Modeling, in which students work with a researcher to create 3D printed physical models of a protein structure. Below is a summary of the 2016-17 Brown Deer High School SMART Team project, focused on the potassium channel protein.

The physical model was designed using Jmol

The MSOE Center for BioMolecular Modeling

The MSOE Center for BioMolecular Modeling uses 3D printing technology to create physical models of protein and molecular structures, making the invisible molecular world more tangible and comprehensible. To view more protein structure models, visit our Model Gallery.
