FunctionDeoxycytidine kinase (DCK) is required for the phosphorylation of deoxyribonucleosides dC, dG and dA (but not dT and dU) and nucleosides analogs which are used as antiviral and chemotherapeutic agents. [1] Deoxyadenosine/deoxycytidine kinase (DACK) substrates ar cytidine, adenosine, arabinosylcytosine and arabinosyladenine [2].
