Summary
A general-case Ramachandran plot determined from 100,000 residues of high-quality crystallographic data (resolution ≥1.8A, backbone B-factor ≤30). Inner contour encloses the energetically favored 98% of that data, and outer contour encloses the allowed 99.95% of that data; points beyond that are considered outliers. Regions of α-helix and β-sheet are labeled. From the Richardson lab Top500 proteins [1].
