Selenosubtilisin is a semisynthetic selenoenzyme produced by chemical modification of subtilisin. Savinase is a subtilisin produced from a lentil. Relevance Subtilisin is widely used commercially in detergents. Structural highlights The active site of Sub contains the catalytic triad: Ser-His-Asp.
