KAT6A-CREBBP may induce leukemia by inhibiting RUNX1-mediated transcription.  Defects in CREBBP are a cause of Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome type 1 (RSTS1) [MIM:[https://omim.org/entry/180849 180849].
