May protect the udder from infection and promote growth in newborn calves. Inhibits growth of the following bacterial species: E.coli, K.pneumoniae, P.aeruginosa, S.sonnei, S.saphrophyticus, S.epidermidis, and S.dysenteriae.<ref>PMID:12071645</ref>
