Cti is the immunity protein produced by ''E. coli'' at the same time as [[Colicin 10]] to protect itself from the pore-forming cytotoxic activity of the [[Colicin]], by inserting itself into the cell membrane and preventing the [[Colicin]] from doing the same. This prevents membrane depolarisation by the colicin, so the cell is not killed.
