'''MOLECULAR STRUCTURE OF A LEFT-HANDED DOUBLE HELICAL DNA FRAGMENT AT ATOMIC RESOLUTION'''
__TOC__

</StructureSection>

==Overview==
The DNA fragment d(CpGpCpGpCpG) crystallises as a left-handed double helical molecule with Watson-Crick base pairs and an antiparallel organisation of the sugar phosphate chains. The helix has two nucleotides in the asymmetric unit and contains twelve base pairs per turn. It differs significantly from right-handed B-DNA.

==About this Structure==
2DCG is a [[Protein complex]] structure of sequences from [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ ]. The following page contains interesting information on the relation of 2DCG with [[http://pdb.rcsb.org/pdb/static.do?p=education_discussion/molecule_of_the_month/pdb23_1.html DNA]]. Full crystallographic information is available from [http://oca.weizmann.ac.il/oca-bin/ocashort?id=2DCG OCA].
