Help:Multimedia: Difference between revisions

There are two types of multimedia that you can integrate into pages: images (including animates GIFs) and short video. For longer videos, you can embed videos from youtube. Other multimedia (coordinates, surface data, audio) can be integrated into a 3D scene and presented that way. Some multimedia can be uploaded and then made available as a link (e.g. PDF documents).

Multimedia is stored in the Image: namespace (even if it is not an image). To search, use the search box on the left, click on search, and when you get to the search results, go to the page bottom to uncheck all namespaces except from "Image", and search again. When you are logged in, you will find a "Upload file" item in the toolbox on the left side panel. You can also reference Video Guide 5. Please take the time to document where the media originated, who authored it, and what the license is. For coordinates, please add this information directly into the PDB file at the top, using a REMARK line. This way, when the coordinates are used in a 3D scene, viewers can discover where the coordinates originated.
