__NOTOC__

Eran Hodis is a graduate student at the Weizmann Insitute of Science in Eran Segal's lab.  In each of 2006, 2007, and 2008 he spent two to three months as a visiting student in Joel Sussman's lab at the Weizmann Institute of Science.  In his free time, he enjoys going through the Recent Changes page on Proteopedia and expanding the Video-Capture Tutorial for Proteopedia and improving the Proteopedia Scene Authoring Tools.

I am an MD-PhD student at Harvard Medical School and MIT in Levi Garraway's lab and Aviv Regev's lab. I research and study the somatic genetics of cancer, particularly melanoma. Previously, I studied computational biology as a graduate student at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Eran Segal's lab focusing on transcriptional regulation in yeast. I'm one of the co-creators of Proteopedia -- this website, a 3D encyclopedia of protein structures -- together with Joel L. Sussman and Jaime Prilusky at the Weizmann Institute of Science.

Eran is the developer of the eMovie PyMOL plug-in for macromolecular movie-making.  His work on Proteopedia continues his effort, begun with eMovie, to make the communication of complex three-dimensional information more intuitive.
