<StructureSection load='1per' size='350' side='right' caption='Structure o phage 434 repressor cI protein complex with DNA (PDB entry 1per)' scene=>
The bacteriophage repressor controls the genetic switch determining the lytic cycle following phage infection. It competes with the Cro protein which selects for the lysogenic cycle. For details see Lambda repressor.
