Piezo proteins constitute a family of excitatory ion channels directly gated by mechanical forces. Piezo is functionally conserved and very important because all living organisms are subjected to mechanical forces from their environment for instance proprioception, osmoregulation, vascular tone, blood flow regulation, muscle homeostasie, flow sensing in kidney, bladder and lungs. This is a sample scene created with SAT to color by Group, and another to make a transparent representation of the protein. You can make your own scenes on SAT starting from scratch or loading and editing one of these sample scenes.
