FunctionLIUE_PSEAE Involved in the L-leucine, isovalerate and acyclic monoterpene catabolism. Catalyzes the cleavage of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA (HMG-CoA) to yield acetyl-CoA and acetoacetate.
