FunctionTissue factor (TF) is a high-affinity receptor for the blood coagulation factor VII. The TF/factor VII complex is responsible for the initiation of the coagulation protease cascade[1]. DiseaseTF is involved in cancer angiogenesis and metastasis[2]. RelevanceTF expression by cardiac myocytes is important to maintain heart hemostasis under normal and pathologic conditions[3].
