Stringent starvation protein
From Proteopedia
| ||||||||||||
FunctionStringent starvation protein A (SspA) is an RNA polymerase-associated protein involved in nucleotide metabolism acid tolerance and virulence of bacteria[1]. In Francisella virulence, a set of regulators are essensial for its activation. These regulators include the heterdimer of SspA, macrophage growth locus A (MglA) and pathogenicity island gene regulator (PigR). The guanosine-tetraphosphate (ppGpp) is also involved in coordinating the virulence. == Disease =s RelevanceStructural highlightsThis is a sample scene created with SAT to color by Group, and another to make a transparent representation of the protein. You can make your own scenes on SAT starting from scratch or loading and editing one of these sample scenes.
