Function
DPOL1_SACS2 This polymerase possesses two enzymatic activities: DNA synthesis (polymerase) and an exonucleolytic activity that degrades single-stranded DNA in the 3'- to 5'-direction. DNA polymerase I, DNA ligase and the flap endonuclease may be constitutively associated with the PCNA heterotrimer forming a scanning complex able to couple DNA synthesis and Okazaki fragment maturation.[1]
