Structural highlights

2wiw is a 4 chain structure with sequence from Archaeoglobus fulgidus and Synthetic construct. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:X-ray diffraction, Resolution 1.8Å
Ligands:GOL, HEZ
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

HJC_ARCFU A structure-specific endonuclease that resolves Holliday junction (HJ) intermediates during genetic recombination. Cleaves 4-way DNA junctions introducing paired nicks in opposing strands, leaving a 5'-terminal phosphate and a 3'-terminal hydroxyl group that are ligated to produce recombinant products.[HAMAP-Rule:MF_01490]
