Structural highlights

3iyg is a 8 chain structure with sequence from Bos taurus. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:Electron Microscopy, Resolution 4Å
Experimental data:Check to display Experimental Data
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

TCPQ_BOVIN Molecular chaperone; assists the folding of proteins upon ATP hydrolysis. As part of the BBS/CCT complex may play a role in the assembly of BBSome, a complex involved in ciliogenesis regulating transports vesicles to the cilia. Known to play a role, in vitro, in the folding of actin and tubulin (By similarity).

Evolutionary Conservation

Checkto colour the structure by Evolutionary Conservation, as determined by ConSurfDB. You may read the explanation of the method and the full data available from ConSurf.
