Structural highlights

5gzx is a 4 chain structure with sequence from Pseudomonas putida. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:X-ray diffraction, Resolution 2.35Å
Ligands:RCI
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

HADD_PSEPU Catalyzes the hydrolytic dehalogenation of small (R)-2-haloalkanoic acids to yield the corresponding (S)-2-hydroxyalkanoic acids. Acts on acids of short chain lengths, C(2) to C(4), with inversion of configuration at C-2.
