Function
[DOC10_HUMAN] Guanine nucleotide-exchange factor (GEF) that activates CDC42 and RAC1 by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. Essential for dendritic spine morphogenesis in Purkinje cells and in hippocampal neurons, via a CDC42-mediated pathway. Sustains B-cell lymphopoiesis in secondary lymphoid tissues and regulates FCER2/CD23 expression.[UniProtKB:Q8BZN6] [RAC3_HUMAN] Plasma membrane-associated small GTPase which cycles between an active GTP-bound and inactive GDP-bound state. In active state binds to a variety of effector proteins to regulate cellular responses, such as cell spreading and the formation of actin-based protusions including lamellipodia and membrane ruffles.[1]
