X-ray structure of Na+-NQR from Vibrio cholerae at 3.5 A resolution

Structural highlights

8acy is a 6 chain structure with sequence from Vibrio cholerae. This structure supersedes the now removed PDB entry 4p6v. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:X-ray diffraction, Resolution 3.5Å
Ligands:FAD, FES, FMN, LMT, NA, RBF
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

A0A655PZA5_VIBCL NQR complex catalyzes the reduction of ubiquinone-1 to ubiquinol by two successive reactions, coupled with the transport of Na(+) ions from the cytoplasm to the periplasm. NqrA to NqrE are probably involved in the second step, the conversion of ubisemiquinone to ubiquinol.[HAMAP-Rule:MF_00425]
