Human rhinovirus

Function

Human rhinovirus (HRV) are RNA viruses. The HRV capsid is composed of 4 proteins: VP1, VP2, VP3 and VP4. The capsid structure is that of a icosahedron with 60 copies of each of its viral proteins[1][2].

Disease

HRV are responsible for the majority of cold-like illnesses.
