1. Entering a name in the search slot (Sussman, Prilusky, Theis) I am unable to find the user page, despite the User namespace being present in the "Search In" list. Eric Martz (talk) 17:14, 7 February 2026 (IST) FIXED.
2. As the person moderating the creation of new accounts, in the past, the number of pending email-confirmed requests was displayed at the top of any page I viewed in Proteopedia. This was a useful alert that I needed to act. That alert is gone. Eric Martz (talk) 17:28, 12 February 2026 (IST) Ignore this request for now. We have 12 confirmed fake requests now out of >200 in the "open requests" box. The alert will not be useful unless we can stop the fake account requests. Eric Martz (talk) 21:06, 15 February 2026 (IST)
3. Javacript error "Parse error: Unterminated string on line 472" occurs when loading any page, both seeded and human-authored. Eric Martz (talk) 22:04, 14 February 2026 (IST)
4. Javascript error "targetSfx 1" occurs six times on seeded pages, and also on human-authored pages that include JSmol. Eric Martz (talk) 22:04, 14 February 2026 (IST)
5. We are getting many fake requests for accounts every day. After a week of openfox being public, we have over 200, after I gave up manually deleting them as too time consuming. We can live with this rate of spam, but it would be good (low priority I guess) to delete all "open requests" that are older than 7 days to avoid having thousands pile up. Eric Martz (talk) 21:02, 15 February 2026 (IST)

Left Aside Issues
(solve these if possible)
- Is there a mechanism to prevent two users from editing the same page concurrently? This seems important to me, especially for collaborative student projects. Eric Martz 17:42, 29 March 2025 (UTC) Please put an answer here. Eric Martz 17:47, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- In summary, no; the 2nd user trying to save changes will have to solve the conflict using help provided. See explanation at MediaWiki docs --Angel Herraez 18:00, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- The font used for the titles fails to distinguish zero from letter oh. This leads to serious confusion/errors. The title font in public proteopedia is not much better. This title font should be changed to one that has a line through zero to be unambiguous. Compare

- And there is also the problem between number one and lowercase L.
- Maybe Atkinson Hyperlegible Font; it's SansSerif, not monospaced as most with dashed zeros are (not nice for regular text titles). Donwload web font.
Another candidates: Go Font Finlandica GoogleFont
Angel_Herraez 16:58, 12 August 2025 (UTC) - Current font is better, but not very good:
