Lynmarie Thompson does research at at University of Massachusetts Amherst on structure and mechanisms of membrane proteins. She investigates mechanisms of transmembrane signaling and transport in bacterial chemoreceptors and ABC transporters, respectively, using a variety of biochemical and biophysical tools, including solid-state NMR. She is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Program in Molecular and Cellular Biology, an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Director of the Chemistry Biology Interface Training Program.
