FunctionHMAS_AMYOR Required to synthesize hydroxyphenylglycine, a recurring skeletal component of nonproteinogenic macrocyclic peptide antibiotics such as vancomycin. Catalyzes the conversion of p-hydroxyphenylpyruvate to p-hydroxymandelate.
