Ribosomal protein S15 (RPS15) is one of the 21 proteins which belong to the 30S small subunit of the bacterial ribosome or the 30 proteins which belong to the 40S small subunit of the eukaryotic ribosome. It is involved in the early steps of ribosome assembly[1].
Relevance
RPS15 phosphorylation mediates leucine-rich kinase 2 neurodegeneration in Parkinson's disease[2].
