| Function
Ribosomal protein S24 (RPS24 in eukaryotes/archaea) is one of the ca. 33 proteins which belong to the small 40S subunit of the ribosome. It is found also in the small 30S subunit in archaea[1].
Disease
RPS24 mutations are found in patients with Diamond-Blackfan disease[2].
