SGTA contains a tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) domain. The TPR protein domain is a protein-protein interaction module containing two antiparallel α helices. SGTA TPR domain interacts with Hsc70 and Hsp90 and regulates their ATPase activity. SGTA N-terminal domainis sufficient for its dimerization. SGTA C-termianl domain is glutamine-rich and interacts with short peptides composed of consecutive non-polar amino acids.
