FunctionVanillyl-alcohol oxidase (VAO) catalyzes the conversion of vanillyl alcohol and molecular oxygen to vaniline and hydrogen peroxide. VAO is part of the 2,4-dichlorobenzoate degradation and uses FAD as a cofactor[1].
