Yeast U4/U6.U5 tri-snRNP
| ||||||||||||
The initial view shows proteins in white and the three snRNAs in colour (U4, U5, and U6). Focusing on the RNAs reveals secondary structure and extensive base pairing between the U4 and U6 snRNAs. The U2 snRNP binds to the region highlighted in blue in this view. The U1 snRNP binds to the U2 snRNP. Both interactions lead to extensive conformational change and activation of the spliceosome.
