It is required for the stability of the bipolar mitotic spindle. Relevance Borealin plays a key role in liver development, regeneration and tumorigenesis and may be a potential target for related liver diseases. Structural highlights The interactions between BOR, survivin and INCENP involve a set of hydrophobic interactions formed by the three-helix bundle and links by electrostatic interactions.
