Function
Pentaerythritol tetranitrate reductase (PTENR) reduces high explosive molecules like nitrate esters, nitroaromatics and cyclic triazine compounds by releasing their NO2 moiety. PTENR can bind cyclic enones like steroids which can act as substrates or inhibitors[1].
