Using the "Clear" template
Hi Jim, Try using the "Clear" template at the end of your new page "James D Watson/Proteins Intro". You'll notice that currently the "Contributors" section, which is an automatically created section listing contributors to the page, encroaches into the main area of your page. By typing {{Clear}} at the end of your page, you'll automatically push the "Contributors" section to the bottom of the page. Try it out and see what you think. Eran
References in Proteopedia
Hi James,
I noticed you added a reference to a scientific paper in the one of your pages. You'll probably be glad to hear that you did it the long way. In Proteopedia, all you need in order to get a properly formatted reference is the PubMed ID of your reference. Just type the PubMedID in between two <ref> tags like this: <ref>PMID:6726807</ref> somewhere in the main text of your page. I'll do it at the end of this sentence[1]. You get a citation wherever you put the reference, as well as a link to the full reference where the list of references appears on the page. You control where the list of references will appear by placing the text <references/> somewhere on your page. I'll put it right after this paragraph:
- ↑ Fermi G, Perutz MF, Shaanan B, Fourme R. The crystal structure of human deoxyhaemoglobin at 1.74 A resolution. J Mol Biol. 1984 May 15;175(2):159-74. PMID:6726807

Jumps in the website
Hi James, Jaime and I are working out some kinks in Proteopedia, and you may have noticed that pages weren't loading properly from time to time in the past few minutes. Sorry about that! We'll try to make sure it doesn't happen again. --Eran Hodis 19:29, 18 February 2009 (IST)
