Function

FOXK1_MOUSE Transcriptional regulator that binds to the upstream enhancer region (CCAC box) of myoglobin gene. Has a role in myogenic differentiation and in remodeling processes of adult muscles that occur in response to physiological stimuli.[1] [2]
