Crystal structure of RNase Z in complex with precursor tRNA(Thr)

Structural highlights

4gcw is a 2 chain structure with sequence from Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus subtilis subsp. subtilis str. 168. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:X-ray diffraction, Resolution 3Å
Ligands:A2M, MES, OMU, ZN
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

RNZ_BACSU Zinc phosphodiesterase, which displays some tRNA 3'-processing endonuclease activity. Probably involved in tRNA maturation, by removing a 3'-trailer from precursor tRNA.[1]
