Structure of yeast U6 snRNP with 2'-phosphate terminated U6 RNA

Structural highlights

5vsu is a 9 chain structure with sequence from Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Saccharomyces cerevisiae S288C. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:X-ray diffraction, Resolution 3.1Å
Ligands:9QV
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

PRP24_YEAST Binds preferentially to the U4/U6 hybrid snRNAs. Can stimulate the annealing of U4 and U6. Could participate in both the formation and disassembly of the U4/U6 hybrid during splicing.
