PUUE_ECOLI Catalyzes the transfer of the amino group from gamma-aminobutyrate (GABA) to alpha-ketoglutarate (KG) to yield succinic semialdehyde (SSA). PuuE is important for utilization of putrescine as the sole nitrogen or carbon source.^{[1] [2]}
