Structural highlights

8a1y is a 6 chain structure with sequence from Vibrio cholerae. Full crystallographic information is available from OCA. For a guided tour on the structure components use FirstGlance.
Method:Electron Microscopy, Resolution 3.3Å
Ligands:3PE, FAD, FES, FMN, HQO, LMT, RBF
Resources:FirstGlance, OCA, PDBe, RCSB, PDBsum, ProSAT

Function

A0A085RHY8_VIBCL NQR complex catalyzes the reduction of ubiquinone-1 to ubiquinol by two successive reactions, coupled with the transport of Na(+) ions from the cytoplasm to the periplasm. NqrA to NqrE are probably involved in the second step, the conversion of ubisemiquinone to ubiquinol.[HAMAP-Rule:MF_00428]
