Abscisic acid receptor (PYL) is a 13-member family of receptors identified in Arabidopsis thaliana which bind abscisic acid (ABA) which is indispensable for processes such as root growth, stomatal aperture, seed maturation, dormancy and response to abiotic stresses including drought, cold and salinity[1].
