We apologize for Proteopedia being slow to respond. For the past two years, a new implementation of Proteopedia has been being built. Soon, it will replace this 18-year old system. All existing content will be moved to the new system at a date that will be announced here.

PhD student in Computer Science at University of Missouri, Columbia.

I am a Ph.D. student in the Bioinformatics laboratory of Dr. Jianlin Cheng. My research focuses on applying statistical machine learning techniques in molecular biology. The main techniques applied include neural networks, support vector machines, hidden Markov models, Bayesian networks, and clustering methods.

My research includes protein structure prediction, protein interaction prediction, protein contact map prediction, protein fold recognition, protein disordered region prediction, and so on. I also participate in the development of Bioinformatics web-based tools and databases in our group. For more information see [1]
